I was skeptical that a piece of metal could make a difference, but the spoon-shaped curve reaches the back of my tongue without any gagging, and the stainless steel feels solid in my hand. Morning breath is noticeably less of a thing now, and the two-pack means I keep one at work and one at home.
The spoon-shaped edge fits my tongue perfectly, way better than the flat ones I've used before. Both scrapers are sturdy stainless steel and honestly my breath feels fresher for hours after I use it.
